A woman of elegance and grace, El pagnier Kay Hudson has penetrated the Human Resources industry for over twenty years. Having earned both the Bachelors and Master's degrees, she has worked her way up through the public service arena to the position of Assistant Vice President for Human Resources which she holds today with Florida International University. In her role as AVP, she oversees HR functions relevant to Recruitment Services, Compensation, Benefits Administration, Talent Management & Development and all HR operations on the northern campus of FIU.
In her broader marketplace activities, she has been a university Instructor for the Freshman Experience and has also been an invited lecturer at FAU in Organizational Behavior (Reward Systems in the Public Sector). She has served as Guest Lecturer at the Henry B. Fernandez Leadership Institute, Guest Presenter for the "Women in Leadership" Conference at FIU, and Commencement Speaker for Boca Preparatory International School. Moreover, she has served as a workshop presenter on various topics related to leadership, mentoring, and the marketplace. She is a member of the SHRM and the College and University HR Executives Consortium of Florida. A prolific writer, passionate teacher, and captivating orator, El pagnier is not a novice in the non-profit arena. She served to create the administrative foundation of Cathedral of Hope and secured the 501(3)(c) status in the establishment of the COH Hope House (Transitional Program for men in Recovery).
A premier "People Person" she was awarded HR Professional of the Year by the Broward Chapter of the Society for Human Resources, earned designation as Woman of the Year by the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and was named one of South Florida's Leading Women of Worship 2010 by the ICABA Organization.
Her personality is fortified by her strong spiritual convictions which provide the foundation for all of her interactions. El pagnier & Winston have three daughters, Imani, Bria, and Chelsea.
